Get multiple quotes for the same work.

The marketing isnt that important in my opinion but the professional photo/ video is a huge game changer and I dont believe that someone is going to make much profit at .5% on the listing side.

I have people that book for multiple weeks during season and I don't blame them for wanting a better feel of the place before shelling out $20K.  

This is why you need to do a ton of due diligence on them and make sure they have skin and the game and something to lose.

Not sure the rules in NY real estate, but it's best practice to interview multiple brokers and understand what you are getting yourself into beforehand. 

Play the long game and focus on rent and home price appreciation.
