I imagine Airbnb (the company) has their own wifi.Wifi router just takes the incoming internet signal from a modem (cable or otherwise) unless you have a combo unit.If you have a hardwired incoming internet cable then you can use almost any wifi device.

The hope is that I’ll be able to find a traditional househack, although I am not opposed to doing a rent by the room scenario if I am unable to find a suitable traditional deal.

Am I correct in my understanding that after the house is built and a CO is issued, we can work with a traditional bank/lender to get the new home appraised and take out a traditional mortgage on the home for XX amount (the amount owed to HELOC and hard money lender)? 

The last thing I'd want is to be unable to refinance into a traditional mortgage, then i'd be stuck with a rather massive bill to pay at month 12 that'd i'd be unable to actually pay haha.

As you'll find, traditional financing, especially FHA, can be a real pain in the butt.

But people do live underneath these power cables all over the usa.

If I can recommend anything (and everybody is entitled to their own opinion) I would recommend finding a traditional brick and mortar brokerage where you have access to a mentor, company paid resources, company name recognition, etc.

hello friends, I have an old traditional IRA from my first job that is sitting in a local bank since early 2000s. it has about 40kI now have a W2 salaried job for 20yrs where I've participated in a employer run 401k i think with John Hancock.

Anyone pursuing this strategy for downpayment funds on a more traditional mortgage or an in-house mortgage product.
