We all still deserve better privacy these days.

Most people wanting to rent a single family home know and dont mind the responsibility that comes with the privacy.

Fences make good neighbors. 6 foot (or 8 foot if allowed) privacy fence blocking off the problem neighbor(s). 

She is complaining that I never mentioned she would need to share with other people and it is an invasion of her privacy. 

@Carter Johnson, I'm happy to answer any specific questions you have, but "tagging along" or shadowing would violate the privacy of any signers as you would then see their non public personal information (NPPI).

Make sure to respect tenants' privacy and give them all the proper notices before you enter the property to do repairs, inspections, etc.  

Would you care too much about the little things.. like the privacy you would give up.. about tenants that are annoying and etc.

However, in order to do that I feel it makes sense to move the laundry out of there into the storage room (this has a separate entrance from the other room where the laundry room is) that's in the basement level as well to create privacy in that room.Here's where I need some input as I currently have 2 thoughts on that...1. convert the laundry room into a 3 piece bathroom and rent out that entire room say to an individual; I can put a portable wardrobe in there.

We've seen a number of clients who aren't psyched about the traditional rent-by-the-room house hack go the basement apartment route to still offset their mortgage while also maintaining some privacy. 

They provide no true asset protection and the privacy they supposedly provide is easily pierced.
