This is in NJ.I spoke to someone from Andrews Credit Union who is offering 95% LTV HELOC but the banker is unsure if the underwriter will accept a duplex.

Im am currently in the military and my mortgage broker and loan officers said yes you can aquire more VA loans as long as it doesnt surpass that max amount, and you met the criteria.

I am searching for a credit union that: 1-keeps their loans in house, no overlay on the number of loans2- Preferably no seasoning required 

We see law enforcement/military discounts everywhere so I'm thinking it should be fine.

Considering I've built an entire RFID based training system for LEO, military, and rec (paintball, airsoft) think forte night or PUBG with paintball guns instead of a controller.

I'm active duty military with a deployment a couple months away, so this is a factor in my strategy.

April - I'm former Active Duty and my wife and I have been Military Landlord's for over 10 years.  

The letter basically said she was a great tenant, if he (the landlord) didn't need to move back into the house himself she wouldn't even be leaving (the landlord was a military member who was getting out of the service), and if given the opportunity he would rent to her again without hesitation.  

Now that i am out of the military working in a new W2 career, i am trying to get back into the RE investing and actually understand how to invest more appropriately and correctly compared to just purchasing houses that i would like to live in...Currently i have about 80k saved up for my next investment deal and just feel like im coming up short on anything even coming close to 1% rule, so to see if there are ways to invest it, i figured i would ask the public how they would go about investing the money, because i am always up for learning something new.If possible, could you throw a quick example or maybe a short answered deal you could possibly go buy today in your own market to get an idea...I am currently searching up to 2hrs from the Tampa, FL area.

I'll be retiring soon from the military and civil service.
