I buy similar properties (3 bed, instead of 2 bed though) for around the same price.  

Units are 2 bed 1 bath 850sqft.

I was going to rent but when I saw how much rent was in the area (600-800 for a 1 bed apartment, 800-1000 for a 3/2 not-so-nice house) and how cheap houses were to purchase (30-70k for a not-so-nice to moderately nice 3/2 house) I decided to just buy.

Eventually, I would like to have the cushion in order to purchase one or two vacation/family homes and turn one into a bed and breakfast!

They just aren't very popular in my area.I have a private maid service that cleans the house washes the sheets and remakes the beds.
