I am looking at purchasing a fully rehabbed house 1316 w street 46208 Indianapolis for my first rental.

Just to Chime in here, I'm a remote property investor (short term rentals mostly) and now manage 2 Killington condos just across the street from the lifts.

Two the same inside and out, one is next to a tear down/cemetery/busy street/industrial park/etc and the other one is on a beautiful quiet street in a great neighborhood.

I am trying to buy a duplex and I have talked to the owner (built rapport) and got info from the city tax records, county clerk and google earth street views of the property plus neighbor properties.  

There is only street parking, which is partly to blame for only 8 units being full I believe.

Our neighborhood has had a ton of new construction in the last 5 years, adding about 40 on my street and the next over from the 10 that have been around for awhile.

Get some street cred first.

It is on the corner of 2 primary streets.

I looked in the area it seemed like each home on the street was over $200k and seemed like a great neighborhood.
