I have seen them though where there is a shared entrance and then you can go up or down, with doors in the right places for privacy at the entrance

Therefore it could appear as an invasion of privacy for them. 

My husband and I have a 2 year old and I keep entertaining the idea of a househack, but we want to have some privacy.

The most common cash flow properties I have seen are those who are actively renting individual rooms, which is time intensive and sacrifices privacy.

With that being said, the short term rentals that are doing well have the following characteristics:- Private single-family houses- Private pool- Excellent cleanlinessMy conclusion is that in the future travelers will prefer local travel (vs top-10 destinations, hotspots), and will favor privacy, contactless check-in and check-out, and will not want to share amenities and common areas.
