I don't thinknitbis so much about a specific area as it is a good price on a specific property that has views and amenities that people want.I would set up search for popular mountain tourist locations and be patient till the right property comes along and be ready to pounce.You can put a property under contract to lock it up and then schedule a viewing and make a decision during the due diligence time.

Markets to look for: Without knowing your budget, it would be hard to say however, Florida is a very popular market for Canadian clients because of the positive cash flow and the ability to find affordable properties in high occupancy areas. 

I reiterate this because I have made the lion's share of my money in real estate by investing in "up and coming" locations as they transition from borderline to popular parts of town.
