@Daniel DeBruin, this is really all market dependent and how much you want to spend versus how much it will impact both the rent you can achieve as well as the quality of tenants it attracts.When it comes to design, it is all a bit personal opinion, but I will say: contiguous flooring always trumps mismatched, hodge podge flooring.  

The house was less than 5 miles from the Mexican border so undocumented folks and their smugglers came by our house often. 

I am trying to get a neutral scheme that will appeal to a range of tenants, and by doing so leaning towards a more natural or darker wood look instead of a grey for the floors but there are a bunch of color options.Any opinions or tips in the matter are much appreciate, and if anyone has used this color scheme with Lifeproof flooring before that would be great!

I’ll add some details to the mountain houses which will shed some light.The houses are aging and I’m doing a lot of wood, siding and deck component repairs plus they need staining quite often.

@Rashim Sharma your biggest challenge will actually be finding a lender.There are two banks that have offices in USA and Detroit that often will lend to Canadians buying in the USA.Can refer you to a Tax Attorney here is the US that has hundreds of Canadian clients with US properties:)

Beyond BP, there is a lot of confusion in the accounting community as well but the same rules have been in existence for quite a while and often were not studied since STRs have never been so popular. 

Often times the threat of an eviction which will show up on their record is enough to get them to leave.

Often times you don't need all the bells and whistles they are more then happy to set up for you (and charge you along the way)
