I am not sure if I'd be keen on Chicago personally but I definitely understand the appeal of a lower entry barrier. 

I'm not to keen on this as I would like to select the contractors who do the work, but if it would help my negotiating power, I would be open to it. 

I've always had a keen interest in real estate but would like to make something tangible out of that interest.

I am finding that the market there is red hot competition keen so looks like building is going to be the way for us to keep deal flow I need 2 a month to make it worth opening a new market..

If it was a over budget discomfort, well: that's b/c it's a rehab - what could go wrong, could and will go wrong-....The advice that was given to you here was keen.

I have contacted Real Estate Agent, but she doesn't seem to keen to help out as I'm assuming it's a lot of work for them without a guarantee sale.

They tend to turnover tenants much more & can turn into a disaster very quickly without a keen eye watching over your investment.Houses on the other hand, if they are the right inventory located in the right areas, can be ideal for longer term stable tenants.

I think that both parties are keen to do this.

(I'm also keen to handle this amicably.)I was just going to let it go, but the tree-removal quotes I've received are for nearly $2k (the whole damn house was only $60k--plus other rehab money I've already spent on it). 

Sounds like a stupid question but I've gone an confused myself and keen for links or clarification please experienced crew :)Also, I'm a Kiwi - just to confuse things.
