Like all investments, there are risks involved, and regulations to follow, but Miami will ALWAYS have tourists come and go.

I can't say I'm very familiar with STRs in that area (I'd never heard of it until a local shop owner I knew in California said they were moving there), though I know there is a tourist presence.  

They are functionally dead from a  tourist point of view. 

As we all know the summer months are booming with tourists, hotels are outrageous, which allows AirBNB owners to be booked mid april-september.

But I’d generally advise going with anyone but a local property management company if it’s in a tourist area.

We have increasing demand as the Baby Boomers just hit the midpoint of retirement and want to try out being “snowbirds” so it helps to be very close to the beach or other similar tourist attraction.

Ours are very helpful here as they WANT you to pay your occupancy/bed/tourist tax. 

It's a tourist town with amazing views and great weather, so lots of wealth coming in and buying all the good stuff. 

Even the tourist board had no data.

In Bay County, we have until the 20th of the month to remit taxes for the previous month.This is what is on our county clerk's website regarding tourist tax:"Attention all taxpayers using online platforms (AIRBNB, VRBO, HOMEAWAY, etc): Please note that Bay County IS NOT contracted with any online platform to receive taxes on your behalf.
