I would agree with Thomas S. that just borrowing money and investing it isn't going to get you the money you want to have.In Silicon Valley less desirable homes are more volatile.

I try to stay pretty close to what's happening here in "silicon beach".

It has a bad reputation, but we’re starting to see a surge of Silicon Valley commuters buying in this area, and the crime is definitely improving with this inflow of people who care about their property.

I like the idea of 'clusters,' where one geographical area hosts multiple competitors relatively close because they draw in talent and buyers (think Silicon Valley or Tel Aviv, Israel -- for Tech)Minneapolis, like many cities in America is experiencing a Brewery Boom-- 8 have popped up in a 2 mile radius after the initial had great success. 

My goal is to become a Real Estate broker but in the mean time I I'm excited about practicing and gaining hands on experience in the beautiful Silicon Valley.

There are certain pockets of Silicon Valley where multiple offers are the norm and listings sell in days.Yet in other communities, it's dead quiet.
