Sandra from Silicon Valley, CA - total Newbie

Hi all!  My name is Sandra Moreno and I have been reading up on real estate investing but besides buying and then.. short selling a home in San Diego when the bottom fell out I have no experience in real estate.  I've lived many places while my husband was in the Military, from Virginia to California but we are both from San Jose Ca and currently rent in Sunnyvale CA.  As you know... the market here is CRAZY! Out bid by 100% all cash offers all the time... 

I am a hairdresser in Campbell and only earn money when I am behind that chair.  I am looking to change that.  I am mostly interested in buy and hold properties that can generate lasting income streams but I am open to learning lots of new things.  I have a background in retail sales as well as administration.  Prior to becoming a hairdresser I managed about 100 companies individual Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Reimbursement Arrangements.  I currently run my company as an S Corporation to minimize taxation.  I have an amazing resource of clients in various industries around the Silicon Valley.
