Claire Findley Which is the better position- no debt or big down payment?

Otherwise, they will use $60-75 per month as the monthly payment. As you can see, it will not significantly affect your qualification.Additionally, you have a great deal with your employer so I would milk that for all it's worth. Now you just have to decide between putting a larger down payment or saving more money and doing the minimal down payment.Hope this helps!
Bruce Woodruff A fellow Contractor sent me this.....

I tell everyone I know: if you call someone up for a job that costs less than a couple hundred bucks in materials and isn't some crazy oddball thing - patching damaged drywall from a leak is not an oddball thing; fixing a partially collapsed porch might be - and the guy can't give you a ballpark figure over the phone and says they have to come "see the job", they're going to try to milk you for every dime on the planet - because truly busy contractors that do lots of work know roundabout how long various jobs take, how much they charge for their labor, and about what the materials cost.

Brad Stallings What to do with $75,000 saved up
30 July 2022 | 11 replies
Nobody likes the idea of needing to replenish their savings after making a major purchase like buying a house, but sometimes you have to.There's only a handful of ways to keep recycling the same money over and over again and each of those methods require additional work which may or may not be realistic with having a full time military job (as do I).The method that I am shifting to more and more in the current economic climate is to buy homes subject to the existing loan.
