We also have a diverse industry base - insurance, tech, apparel, e-comm- to name a few.

Better forage , more diversity, better wildlife habitat.

The price of entry is affordable, the appreciation is huge, and we have a diverse economy.

Check out the Ridge to Rivers trail system to see the diversity of trail options.You can use Google Maps and set different times of day to determine potential commute times to things like hospitals, schools, airports, shopping, etc.Boise is fortunate in that many touring bands play in Salt Lake City, Portland, Seattle so Boise is a perfect stop over on their national tours so we get really good concerts for such a small city.Boise and the entire metro is bursting with growth so finding a job in commercial construction shouldn't be too challenging.

But since I have partners, I am able to have a lot more diversity in my portfolio

I am sure a lot more companies moved to the greater Houston area so jobs are more diverse and available so maybe more demand for rentals? 

While it may seem like the I-4 corridor is getting pricier relative to some markets in the Northeast and Midwest, at least there is population growth and economic diversity.

The dynamics -- job growth, low unemployment, diverse economy, quality of life, low inventory -- point to continued increases in home values, so we like that. 

A strong market must have a track record for stable and diverse employment, as well as lower unemployment rates.
