I even read in one of the previous discussions that there is a way to obtain numbers from all renters in my area code and send them a short voice recording at a reasonable fee, although I'm not sure how to do it.

The house is not "designed" as an up/down duplex so a fair bit of noise (music, walking, running, voices) can travel between floors, as well as smells with the shared ducting for the house. 

I think if no one voices any concerns, I am free to do what I want as long as the city approves.

For most part there is 2 major voices to things here, either "oh, it will never happen, that couldn't actually happen" and those who are not bothered by it all.

People moving from the urban areas to more rural ( @brandonturner 's voice) areas in droves.

Both investors and end-users were voicing the same concerns: “We want to get out of the big cities and move/invest in smaller, cleaner, more friendly communities, with more space and lower cost of living.”

Granted, supposedly in this day people communicate electronically and no longer in person or even over the phone (i.e. by voice).
