Personally, I would already rather renovate my home myself so I know what behind the walls...gives me more long term confidence with the building.

When I started investing I knew the market and how to work numbers; I knew my multiple exit strategies and already had a great team in place and was confident in my decisions, all from my career.

I read it recently and gleaned some systems that gave me more confidence in my management (and how I could have handled that transition even better).

However, Iḿ confident this would not be a topic or REI concern if it were not repeated 4 million times, 23 and a half hours a day on Fox/WMAL.

A Quality manager should have thousands of reviews on the marketing channels in which a guest can look at and be confident they're getting a good product for what their paying.

Granted, the owner was a total slumlord and refused to repair anything, but I'm confident that a large part of the issue with the bugs was caused by the tenants themselves.
