New to real estate and eager to learn from others

Posted

Hi everyone, for many years I have wanted to invest in real estate. Every time I have bought a house for my own use, I have spent weeks browsing before finding the perfect home for me and within my budget. I’m buying a home now and will be renting the home I’ll vacate, so my old house will become my first rental property. I have lots of questions that I’m hoping to answer in this forum. I love learning and have a lot of free time. I live in a high appreciation area and I don’t want this opportunity to pass me by.

@Leonardo Morantes Gomez

Congratulations on officially kicking off your real estate investor journey! The first home is always the hardest, but momentum usually builds from there.

Bigger Pockets has a monthly meet up in Raleigh. There is another Raleigh monthly REI meet up called Pints and Properties that is also solid. Both get posted here in the forum so stay tuned here for next event details.

I also highly recommend the Triangle Real Estate Investor Association. They host a series of monthly meetings with a heavy focus on education and networking. The main meeting is next week at NC State.

BP is a generous community. Post your questions here and this community will help you process potential steps.

If there is anything I can do to help, just connect and give me a shout. If you plan to hit up some of the local networking events, let me know and I'll probably be there myself. I will for sure be at the TREIA meeting on the 14th.

Best of luck on your REI journey!
