Basically what I did was house hack and rent out the spare bedroom's to college/exchange students.

After talking, I asked if I could volunteer my spare time with his next house flip.

You can always do deals with others and work on other stuff, but that needs to be in more of your spare time rather than your main business.

I don't have much spare cash that I can invest at the moment.

With short-term rentals, you could live in one room and rent out the spare rooms, an RV parking pad, a teepee in the yard, or even the couch.

One compact switch with preset and toggle for both.That has worked pretty well for me over the years until recently.The problem is more and more fans now come with a remote. 

Specifically I would start airbnbing the weekend house or renting spare bedrooms to working professionals in one or both of my homes.

I rent out the basement floor of the property with a standard annual lease and Airbnb a spare room on the floor I live in to cover the mortgage.

We are between renting it or selling the property in 8-10 years.We are currently flipping furniture, yes you heard that right, furniture in our spare time, in most cases we buy on marketplace then refinish it and resell it, to help save more toward our real estate investing path.I want to increase my knowledge in real estate investing for another year before going into the first flip, as well as watch the market/economy to time the right buy.My personal real estate goals as of right now, is to either wholesale or flip properties to build more revenue up, then invest in rentals, 1-3 flips -> buy a rental, and cycle this until we have 10-15 properties similar to the millionaire real estate investors model.End goal with real estate is to have the cash flow to retire before 50, and have our networth over 1.5 million.Looking forward to soaking in valuable information related to real estate for years to come, possibly contributing to the BP community as my understanding grows, as well as growing financially!
