Tenant refused to let us in, finally found out after cops we're call on domestic issue they were keeping thier deceased grandfather in the garage so they could keep getting his social security checks.

I usually review my domestic listings every quarter and usually find a few small things that need to be corrected which they always resolve very quickly. 

I agree with some of what has been stated above as far as staying out of potential domestic spats; potentially communicating with the tenant again about setting the tone, and being the bigger person in this situation but honestly, that's not really on you to have to do that.
