For a 5 bed, 3 bath house, it may be difficult to get random travel nurses to all share a 5 bedroom place.  

My suggestion: buy a quality small MF that needs paint and carpet, even that is difficult enough if you are remote!

I agree, it is hard to pay the taxes in MA, and now our insurance costs are going up as well, so it is very difficult to make things work

Very few seem to stay in it for the entirety of their careers.   

Self-managing from a different state is extremely difficult, especially in states where the law favors the tenants.

I am a veterinarian and absolutely love my career, however I feel strongly that real estate could be an excellent side-gig or even perhaps a great way to move into a second career whenever I'm ready to retire from veterinary medicine. 

@Nathan Gesner   Many of these just cause laws hold landlords to a more difficult standard then the government holds itself to.

Hi @Neal Daftary,Getting 20% down depends on which type of loan you are looking for but shouldn't be too difficult.

If not, your case may be difficult to prove.They should take responsibility for the lawn, security, and utility abuse.
