If the mortgage holder does not pay the property taxes then the property gets auctioned then all junior liens get wiped out (as long as the proper steps were carried out).

I wouldn't be surprised if they were run-aways.Checking local criminal records won't work because someone could commit crimes in a different state and then move to yours.Or what if mom/dad move in with junior and then mom/dad decide to move out three months later?
