Turns out the Landlord entity, operating property, doing leases, doing all the activities, is themself leasing the properties on an enhanced NNN basis from a separate entity.

That is the first time I have heard that for a couple of years so hopefully things are turning (I wouldn't hold my breath though)

Besides buying turn-key properties with all cash (from the likes of REI etc), are there any other passive RE investment opportunities that will fit this criteria ?

There are likely at least subtle differences between those proposals.In terms of good and bad experiences, you won't find an insurance company that doesn't produce happy and unhappy customers.  

The more his students buy/sell, the more money Pace makes.I believe the entire thing is a house of cards that will collapse when the market turns.
