But there was lots of baggage with it for sure between the tenants and  deferred maintenance and needing a 4 story porch redone.

Moral of the story investor used the calculator and beat me down and well I will not discuss how much money I'm loosing on this project. 

We "inherit" so many homeowners from the big players who have horror stories (only one booking in 6 months, guests who were allowed to wreck your home with no recourse...the list goes on and on).

So now, I am reaching out for some inspiration, what do you suggest I do with this existing 400 sq.ft conditioned space?

Hi @Jake Berlin, I've had many clients come to me with horror stories from working with turnkey provider services.

@Michael Snider-Held we hear stories like this all the time in the LTR market about the national companies.These companies are setup to make money, period, with little oversight from management.So, owners need to make sure they read management contracts and UNDERSTAND what is covered and not covered. 

A 2 level condo is a different story altogether.But, its better to buy something than nothing, as the debt paydown is at least a forced savings account.  

If you're able to, start networking at local Milwaukee real estate meetups---this is the very best education and inspiration that you will ever find--I started real estate by signing up for a guru program but by far, my best education came from speaking to other active local investors who are actually doing deals or have built financial freedom---the nationwide guru program only taught about flips and rentals but there are so many different strategies that locals have and are successfully doing.

Collecting the money is another story.

A tenant complaining online might indicate that the property manager handled them appropriately, so be sure to ask the manager for their side of the story.7.
