Unless you are a portfolio lender, all conforming loans are underwritten using desktop underwriter (DU) or desktop originator (DO).

I recently called the Probate Division at my local county, Fairfax County in Virginia.They said I could come in and use their computers to search by name.

The quicken app is easy to use to do everything I awaits above from your smart phone if you choose and I was able to download it on my business partners phone (she is of the "non computer generation") and she is able to see how much is in our business account as well as how much income has been brought in for the month vs how much we've spent in one easy snapshot.

The website thing might deter some elderly folks who do not feel comfortable using a computer.

Joe,Could not get to the DOM, on ipad version I think the screens are not the same or navigating to the right page may be different on laptop/desktop.

In the age of computers you can sign documents over the internet and have them emailed or faxed to the title co for closing.
