As an agent myself I wouldn't be offended if a friend where to ask me look over their work on something like this - just don't take up a lot of their time - maybe buy them dinner to say thanks . 

So you are not obligated to pay anything.... but sometimes in business to make customers happy, you have to eat a little $$ to keep the relationship happy.I would give the $200 gift card to dinner as a "thank you for your understanding and to make up for your inconvenience"....not " we owe you $200 because you couldn't use a small section of the unit we provide you to live in due to something that we have zero control over"

I showed up at her work to pick her up since she was stuck , went to dinner and she plowed with me all night . ( no guns or beer that time )

I looked at my wife and smelled the dinner I had picked up for us to enjoy together, "call the plumber, I'm not fixing that tonight".Those are the daily decision we make as investors, property managers and DIY capable dudes and dudettes.

@Shannon Vistisen, my wife and I owned an Airbnb for about 15 months before selling.Pros: we made money, my wife got to implement some fun design ideasCons: she self managed and therefore worked in the hospitality business; monthly, we made about the same as a LTR for a lot more work; continual work, even if it is a couple minutes at a time, those couple minutes come in the middle of dinner, bed times, etc.

I like eating out in restaurants, boating, golf, pets, horses, watching strongman competitions, grilling out, having, and going to, dinner parties, watching old movies, classic cars, music/concerts, eating healthy.  

Clean and quietSo, I am thinking about buying a takeout Christmas dinner.
