The seller is not willing to amend the lease or do cash for keys.Otherwise the property is in a great location and cash flows well, the biggest risk is carrying on these tenants for about a year.

Yes, doing this after you file your 2020 return means a superseded or amended tax return, or possible excise tax.If this is an over-contribution, it is advisable to handle it before the due date and filing of the return, including extensions.You'll know what your AGI is before you file the return (hopefully).Also earnings and penalties will need to be reported on the 2020 return if the contribution was made during the 2020 calendar year.Might want to start thinking about that tax advisor

The company really didn't have sample language for a landlord, but I think I re-wrote those sections fairly well in lieu of paying an attorney to review an amended document they already completed.I'll let you know how it goes as soon as their is an initial claim.

You should start declaring the rental income as soon as possible, and possibly amending your returns if you did not report them in previous years.
