Even that manager needs to be really hard worker and skilled in so many different areas...sales, marketing management, hiring, firing, reservations, computer skills, and more.   

Now, I’m ready to put those skills to work in real estate, building my own portfolio here in the U.S. and helping others around the world do the same.I’m particularly interested in BRRRR strategies and rentals, especially opportunities that appeal to international investors looking to invest in U.S. cities. 

I am excited to get to know other investors, as I continue to grow in my knowledge and skills in real estate investing. 

Having good organizational skills and systems in place to ensure you're set up for success is key; if you can do that, then again, manage it yourself. 

And you can do it with little cash, 5% down conventional is better than 3.5% FHA.House hacking also gives you a chance to cut your teeth in all major skills: analyzing deals, buying process, financing, working with contractors, advertising for rent, background checks, property management.

They also appreciate honesty and transparency so they can make decisions fast without any surprises.Some of the top skills that you can focus on are:Comping: Knowing your comps inside out is a must.Negotiation: Being able to connect with sellers and strike a good deal is huge.Networking: Relationships with buyers, agents, and other wholesalers are invaluable.Also, Get to know your local market being able to talk the talk in your area will help a lot.

Poor personal finance skills.

It could be some sort of skill set for renovations, design for furnished rentals, specific market knowledge, owner occupied loan products for a house hack, etc. 

Some of us have a lot of experience and could make that $20k stretch into something, but we have skills you don't.
