My only issue with showing sympathy in the form of anything relating to the rent is once you do that you might be taken advantage of more often as they see your a softie. 

The third that I would add to REI is undue sympathy.

our social welfare system is off the charts in a negative manner.. enabling generational poverty.. its the break down of the family unit and it more pronounced in certain situations in the US.Along with folks that abuse animals as a way of life I have seen that in the Deep south its sickening and therefor your not going to get much sympathy pitting animal lovers against taking care of folks who should have family helping them.

I suspect they have never been through serious litigation  I mean 99% of the people out there in the public have not.And on top of that they just have zero defense other than the implausible stories they are weaving and or trying to pull out the sympathy card.  

It doesn't matter how reputable the Sponsor seems or how many times you've seen them on FOX, CNN or whatever other channel they appear.Tough lessons and my sympathies are with the folks who've lost their money.

If they volunteer personal information, I respond with sympathy and don't push the subject.

Sounds to me like someone is looking for excuses and "moral support" to not pay rent while trying to play the single mother sympathy card.

I think you have zero chances of winning the sympathy of a judge on a noise issue and that it would be a waste of time and money.

You have no sympathy from us, Uwe, Your average daily drive is less than half of ours and car's MPG's double of ours.
