Currently students at the University are paying $6,910.00 per student for two semesters to live in university housing. 

A friend of mine who is a teacher said he was offered a unit once near a school he would be teaching at for a few semesters.

For example if you are you in a college area, it might be difficult if school already started and they found their home for the semester. 

I was only a few hours away from finishing a minor in real estate when I graduated from UIC in 2011 (they failed to offer any of the courses required to complete the minor during my last 3 semesters there), and have been reading - or listening to - everything I can get my hands on for the past several months.My goal is to have accumulate a portfolio of 30 rental units by January of 2021.

I have 0 expirience but i have been wanting to do this for a while...i was thinking about going to real estate school next semester, how should i start out?

As @William Hochstedler said, I've seen 2/2 units leased to two individual undergrads completely, totally, 100% destroyed in under a full fall/spring semester lease.

She lived at school her first semester last year, but was paying $400 monthly for a shared apt with messy roommates.  

I would do this again at the end of each semester as well since typically that's when college kids will start planning where they are gonna live next year.

So last semester I left graduate school so we could put all our efforts into figuring out how this real estate thing really works.  

When I took him up for his freshman semester, I was really sad to see how much the city has deteriorated over the years, and I knew then that I want to do something to help (in my own small way).
