Are you also a soon to be transplant to El Paso, TX?

The previous owner made a deal with property manager to live rent free to manage units.

However, it is very nice being able to live rent free in 1 of the units while making a small overall profit.

But the hard part is I want to live in a nice area and nice areas tend to be much harder to get positive cash flow (assuming I imagine I'm paying myself normalized rent prices for that area).If cash flow is so important, which it is to me since I'm basically trying to build up capital for future investments, maybe it's better if I rent some place cheap with friends and buy a less expensive property in an area I don't want to live (really south when I'm trying to stay closer north).

They are happy to live rent free for 6 months and move on.

A transplant from Ohio about 21 years ago.

In my area I can find 4 family units that carry themselves so someone could purchase one and not counting vacancy or repairs live rent free.

Recently transplanted from North Pole to Wasilla.We are looking to expand our knowledge in real estate investing and network with other investors.We own 5 rentals and land.

However, the money just isn't enough and I want a means to live rent & bill free on the dime of rental properties and saved "flipped" profits.As for me, I'm a gardener with chickens and a small collection of organic plants.

So they'll live rent free while I pay the bills.
