I think they've done a great job of building their product and if you already have a property listed on Airbnb, it's super easy to import to MiniStays (though it's not difficult to list your property there if you don't.)

Just what I see its very market specfic out this way.. used houses sell for as much if not more per sq ft than new builds.. for starter housing most of that has gone the townhouse route.. cheaper than free standing. and the big production builders can build those pretty efficiently.. mom and pops not so much..

Mid-term is more likely to work in any market than STR, but I think you would be surprised at how well an STR could do if there are no other options like that in the area (think people's parents or friends coming in for the week(end)).I've seen a lot of people grimacing at the net-negative house hack (it's just a product of rates and low inventory in a lot of markets) and this is one option to try to recoup some of that loss.

its funny how this changes with time and the market on BP  if you asked this question 5 to 7 years ago you get drowned out with the cash flow is the ONLY thing and appreciation is for gamblers my self I have always been about making appreciation games in RE.. by either value add building a new product or buying foreclosure and flipping or lending money and getting instant 12% plus returns .
