I have been in Real Estate Finance since 1987, and have many good long lasting friends in the industry, but it seems like the number of working friendships that I have developed in 20yrs, could double or triple in a year, by benefit of this forum.

Some banks and sellers discriminate based on credit score, income, occupation, earnest money, marital status, even friendship.

I have seen MANY friendships broken due to working together.

Knowing deep end swimmers in my native profession, I have deep respect for anyone who has spent the time, devotion, self-education and friendships to do that.

I also have long term business and friendship connections with them, so there is a strong level of trust.Thoughts?

Do it yourself and save the headache and loss of friendship later.

One guy doesn't get his stuff done on time or under budget and what one does effects the entire project.I've seen money break up families, it can certainly break up friendships much less partnerships.I'd suggest, if you have other irons in the fire that you might consider staying out of the way in rehabs, take care of the business side.

Getting a loan or getting the inside track on a great deal often depends on having friendships with key people in your local area.

Regular presence helps me learn and it can produce some new friendships and income.
