Appreciation is fantasy until accessed and can disappear in a heart beat.Unless your actual rental income is sufficient enough to cover the cost of paying a return on the equity on a monthly bases it simply does not exist and only creates negative value in a rental property.Investors that confuse appreciation with cash flow or return on investment are living in a fantasy world.

Well..until that fantasy happens, I agree, stay on your toes.

I started learning investing with that as my fantasy "new life," and was quickly disillusioned by what I read, but this is (almost) fanning that flame back to life.

Ask if certain things are feasible, or fantasy.

This is not some dreamlike fantasy.

@Easton G.As one who is currently house hunting in Albuquerque, I can tell you that as much as the fantasy of having a home with a pool sounds great, my husband and I won't even look at a house that has one.Just because we don't want one doesn't mean there isn't a market for them.
