If you tell them their credit score is too low (or some other reason) and somehow you obtained information that is inaccurate, then there is the potential to cause a legal problem.

Obtaining the type/quantity of land we would like to settle on at this point in our lives is not really feasible (i.e. several thousand acre cattle ranch).

In this era of increased rates, obtaining properties that will produce a good return are harder to find and often involve quite a bit of work.
