I want to do the following to the place now that we are in the process of moving in:1) New carpeting of about 800-1000 sq ft2) Want to finish a room in the basement 3) Wife is not happy with the granite in kitchen, so want to rip it out and replace and enlarge the island area in kitchen4) Need some plumbing work done5) Want to rip out the shower and tub in master and modernize6) Iron balusters on stairs 6) Need A/C work done And a few other odds and ends.If anyone in Atlanta has any recomendations I would greatly appreciate it.

Many if not most of the Fannie listings here in AZ show up on Zillow with lot sizes 5 times + what they really are. It really distorts the value on Zillow. Does anyone know what is going on?

We want to enlarge the opening and put in a 32" hinged door instead.

I'd say sell your real Estate, enlarge your bunker and invest in nonperishable food, guns, ammo, water and fuel....That would be the commodity to have if you really believe in the doom and gloom...

This is by enlarge, a landlord forum, so you may not get full sympathy here, but I'm a landlord and I'm telling that if you where my good, on-time rent paying tenant (And obviously you are since you're still there after 18 years) I would definitely replace that carpet.

When I enlarged the patio several years ago, making it 12' wide and 33' long, the full width of the house, I got a city building permit labelled "patio cover" and hoa permission for a patio cover.

Sometimes an addition is connected a porch is enlarged and the only way the designer could figure the roof out was by making it flat.

The realtor can point out to them the 'potential' to enlarge with the closet, but moving is a big enough commitment for most people and they won't want to do renovations right away.  

And you'll have new cracks in unexpected places, old cracks that will not close, but instead enlarge.
