I am in the process of shopping for an insurance company for a rental property here in VA.

Still need to close on the property because I have already put 18K downpayment and then work with city on split process.  

In 2020, it came to a near complete stop.Banks go through the foreclosure process typically taking 4-8 months.

Has anyone had any experience with this process?

The work around is part of the application process is to tour the property, but still, why put yourself in that position?

Give it a read, and you'll have a fair understanding of the process. 

I found a few that I liked and Melissa was able to help me quickly identify which ones were best for me and proceed with the purchasing process.

Some thoughts that go through my head......Who do you contact to get current values, after renovation values to see if this process is even worth it? 

I realize I am not cut out for the entire REI process of consistently finding multiple properties for particular exit strategies. 

We have only 2 criteria for the order we process applications: 1) nearest move in to the date unit is available to be rented 2) order that the completed applications are received.If we had a unit for rent that would be rent ready Jan 15 and have multiple applications, the application processed first is the one who can move in the fewest days after Jan 15.
