Dogs are too likely to bark, owners don't clean up after them, and an off-leash dog creates a lot of problems.

If you were a renter that didn't want to ever have to worry about a barking dog, had pet allergies, or had emotional trauma from bad experiences in the past with pets (especially dogs), wouldn't you be happiest in a no-pets unit, on a no-pets rental property?

SFR stands for single family residence, not 50 families cycling in and out, FNMA does not understand that concept (it is irrelevant that I personally do understand it), and I'm guessing your house isn't zoned as a hotel or hostel either (which is the question, and answer, if you bark up the commercial loan tree, which I have indeed done). 

There is very minimal landscaping and most of it is succulents or dirt covered areas with dry bark.

I'd want to know how old the dog is and how long it will be home alone as my concern would be barking if it is an apartment where neighbors can be annoyed.
