dentites are well known for being lousy investors...Steve as long as they are not Anti Dentites  although frankly most of the medical dental professionals I deal are pretty darn sharp.. although there was in the day when Doctors got ragged on pretty hard as private pilots.. forgetting to put the gear down seemed to be a favorite.. but In my airplane community there are many doctors and dentist and they totally dispel the myth .. which this is all a big myth.

Neither is pretty,The difference is that these bad guys on American greed are all running Ponzi schemes  investor money in.. goes to their account they never invest it and .. they buy them selves all the things that they must have,,, IE  big house,, airplanes, boats , cars,, jewelry for trophy wife  etc etc. and the investors get scammed.those buying rentals have an asset and if they can manage it propertly and buy right up front they stand a chance.. if they buy poorly and think someone is going to do all the work for them then they end up in your scenerio

I saw a video of Grants new G 550  you dont buy that airplane with smoke and mirrors or even lease it yet alone pay to fly and maintain it.. so he is making some serious dough somewhere.
