Mind you, with mortgage interest rates in the US being so much higher now (and seemingly for the foreseeable future), I wouldn't be surprised if LTRs in Europe would cash flow better than in the whole US nowadays (to be verified). This being said, I don't and would never invest in LT rentals outside of North America as I wouldn't want to face unfavourable landlord/tenant laws as a foreigner.

@Kevin Collins I apologize; my response came out a little rough around the edges and I assume that you certainly have done your homework prior too.... but that is a bit of my point... nothing will change when you go and work with a realtor and find investment properties yourself... figuring out what the property is worth IS PART OF THE ANALYSIS (if that's important to you) and because of this it is no different than other than you should now be verifying what the realtor will tell you it's worth as opposed to what the turnkey is telling you.

Fannie Mae will allow you to transfer the deed to an LLC if you decide to try to go the conventional route, but the loan would still be in your names and you'll need to pay a title company a second time post-closing to do this for you. 3) I can't speak for the area so no comment there4) If you're self managing, make sure you find vendors you can trust in the area since you won't be able to easily verify if an HVAC guy, plumber, etc. is trying to rip you off and tell you to buy something you don't actually need. 5) Make sure you have clear alignment of goals and a clear operating agreement that spells out what to do if those goals start to not align in the future since you'll be jointly obligated to these properties.
