the only problem with the closet is that older homes used wardrobes and dressers , no closets in bedroom

There is carpet in the closets currently and the carpet is in good condition.

We built the bosses sister a 3500 square foot home. 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 baths, cavernous kitchen/dining/living room with 25' cathedral ceiling, massive laundry room, massive entry, office, gym, multiple pantries and closets, 2 car garage with 2nd floor game room.  

It's relatively outdated as it's a '97 house and apparently code has evolved in the past 25 years.For one, it claims the Electrical Panel breaker box cannot be in the master bedroom closet (which is where it's located) nowadays and there's no outside shut off valve.
