Either SFH or small multi?

We are considering investing in Houston as foreign investors (from Belgium), our goal is to find and start with a long-term rental single or multi family home.

So in that a much lower rate of return is acceptable given the safety and certainty level of things.

Sounds like we are in the same boat with a handyman :) And to @Jonathan Klemm point, I have to weigh the mental capacity of handling issues remote versus spending time with family.

Investment Info:Large multi-family (5+ units) buy & hold investment.

Days on Market:•If similar 2/2 homes are sitting for months, there may be an oversupply or pricing issue.

If I were in your shoes, I’d focus on house hacking in Phoenix by exploring multi-family properties or using the BRRRR strategy with undervalued single-family homes.

To OP, it's not as scary as you think it is, this will be your first home purchase, you can purchase a multi family or SFR and house hack.
