Time is better spent hosting lunch-and-learns, being a junior achievement volunteer, putting on financial literacy courses at your church, starting web sites like BP, hosting podcasts to help others get ahead...practical stuff (where you may be able to help 1 out of 10 or 20 who are willing to fix the habits that keep them in the middle class).Class warfare creates more divide than it provides help or solutions.

And POL states sherrifs sale. .there are NOT sherrif sales in CA. they are trustee sales.. so that would worry me that they did not get the verbiage right.Any overage over what your due goes to the next in line and if there are no junior liens then the overage goes to the owner of the property.So unless no one bid this is what would happen.. and if No one bids..

We too like the $50k range, though you can get a couple juniors for the $30k range, though we always keep $5k in reserves for expenses & foreclosure if needed.

If you bid on a property at auction all encumbrances junior to that lien usually are wiped away but anything senior stays.

if it went through an actual foreclosure then as stated most if not all the junior liens should have been removed from title .. they still exist as to the person who lost the home.so something is no adding up.
