If it is only a week or so, I wouldn't be terribly worried.

For example:  For the week ending August 3rd, Occupancy is up 4%. 

I'm saving money. 10% of my checks and additional incomes go to savings and then I throw the rest of what I don't use a week into an index fund.

Inspection process can take 2-3 weeks.

We have received 7 leads in 3 week and sent out 4 contracts and got one signed.

For example, I bought another duplex recently for $40k, put 10k into the first unit and rented it in a week for $865.

At a minimum you can put your extra funds into a high yield savings account, or even better 4-week treasury bills that give you state tax exemption and keeps you liquid for your next acquisition.
