I would normally suggest self managing, but Chicago can be a little tricky.

Remember, the notion of amassing wealth without investing is a dangerous myth perpetuated by self-proclaimed experts.

All of the units are privately owned now though and you're free to self manage or have a management company operate the unit for you.

Outside of that, I use turbotenant for managing all my own rentals and they have been a phenomenal tool for building leases and self-managing properties. 

The rain refresh has the new technology feature where water and dirt sort of just fall off of it, making it self cleaning for the most part. 

It is a continuous process of self improvement and growth.

Hi Zane,I live and invest in Alabama, but the answer to your question depends on your strategy:Are you looking for turnkey or distressed / rehab properties, do you plan to self-manage or use a property manager, what class neighborhood, are you buying cash or how much will you put down, are you willing to look at cities just outside of Huntsville? 

The best investors are those that are self made.
