I graduate a month from now with a Bachelor's in Psychology from The University of Kentucky.I plan on completing an online MBA within the next two years from Northern Kentucky, and I'm considering a PhD afterwards.I'm currently working a part time position in a meat shop at Whole Foods market.

I became a lawyer and she works in market research after completing a master's degree in industrial organization psychology. 

All one needs to do is go into a starbucks and talk to the many baristas with psychology degrees to know that the money was not well spent.Again I want to stress that I am not anti education.

I can't help but observe that success in this case would've had a lot to do with not buying into crowd psychology and jumping into a hot market - instead it would have depended on recognizing value and having the discipline to hold through a tough market.I have no issue with buying value... and there is certainly real value in the Bay.

Having a seller commit to you verbally may not be legally binding, but it can be psychologically binding.

I don't know too many people who have done this math and haven't determine that small amounts of leverage can be very useful, despite being coupled with very small extra risk.Of course, if it's just a philosophical or psychological issue that doesn't allow you to consider leverage, then the math really won't matter...

There's a lot of psychology involved here, but such is life when you are dealing with people :)

Vince,Not sure about the legality, but I can tell you that psychologically, it means more to someone that signed something personally on a hard copy and gave you a check vs. electronically with a pay pal payment.

This does not mean I'm lax or a pushover, it comes from years of dealing with tenant psychology.
