Has the philosophy to focus on the 20% that gives 80% reward. 

And part of our philosophy on this business is to treat it as more than just business.

My philosophy as a PM is that I manage the property as if I owned it personally.

This philosophy is meant to be the exact opposite of the traditional role the architect plays in the development world.

You can pay cash for a house; see if one of your left wing professors will lend you the money under terms more beneficial to yourself, of you can move to one of the few remaining countries more closely aligned with your economic philosophy, Cuba or North Korea.

You need to be aligned with their philosophy, leverage, geography, asset class, fees, promote etc. 

Have you built a real estate investing philosophy/methodology or business plan that identifies what an investable deal for you looks like, what metrics you use to determine, what you assess.

In the professional space I'm in I'll often work with one or two vendors to get a sense for the best fit, curious if that same philosophy could/should be applied here.

I am not a fan of Dave Ramsey's investing philosophy but am totally onboard with his tough love philosophy on getting out of debt.
