I am familiar with Portsmouth, Ohio and actually disagree with some of the other folks advice (no hard feelings to anyone) regarding investing there just because it is local.

These are good folks but not high on the self help category so, since the house is next door I decided to check things out before hiring a contractor.Upon inspection I noticed that the thermostat was barely above the "Vacation" setting.  

I had multiple FIVRR folks do work but a lot of them will create back links on sites with high toxicity scores so it actually ends up hurting you.

To the folks out there that are saying this is unattainable, it takes time, effort and unconventional thinking to work through the low paying jobs, side huddles, bad investments, but if you keep trying you will be successful.

These folks are great budget friendly DiY rehabbers (they're actually friends of mine) who also had an HGTV show.
