Frankly, to facilitate visual inspections of the accounts, especially Income and Billing from ongoing vendors, I log such things to the date it applies, like mortgage is due on the 1st.The critical point is to keep all income and expenses associated in the correct year, so prepaid 6 months rent received in Nov should keep two months in this year and 4 months logged to next year.

Rent control will probably be coming to Richmond in Nov for the elections, so be prepared.I think the rent ratios in Stockton are a little better than Richmond (rents are much higher in Richmond - double to triple Stockton rents I would estimate.

Then after other car companies started to make the cars (Toyota, Ford, Rivian, etc) the car industry got better, the concept consistently got improved and now there are more out there that are even more efficient with prices continue to go up due to demand and innovation (I don't have a Tesla by the way).
