Their main reasons remain immigration (and living in an area with good climate and fresh air), education for their child (as a good range of great schools) and diversification of their assets (better value for their money compared to many cities in China).

My parents took a bite out of the American Dream as 1st generation immigrants with sweat and blood but they worked too hard unnecessarily because they lacked the knowledge of proper investing and building wealth.Biggerpockets and others are leading all kinds of people to investing which is an open secret; available to everyone but only practiced by a few.

False hopes.Has everything to do with low supply (and inane immigration policies) and huge well paid demand (lots and lots and lots of well paid corporate workers who have disposable income but not time...time is more valuable than cash).  

Now they cannot afford to move back.BUT, had they purchased with me (I own 7 multi-family in Brooklyn now), they could have secured a place here in Brooklyn should they wish to move back.I came from a very poor family of immigrants.

Not a pretty site at immigration when you're actually trying to leave the country and they make you go into a small private room, pay a big fine and they put a full page sized ugly stamp in your passport with the amount of the fine written on it.

Many immigrants coming to the US never held a job in their lives.
